Are you licensed for Wedding Ceremonies & Civil Partnership?
Yes – please contact Lucy for more information as a have a few different options at the Cowshed where you can hold your ceremony.
How many guests can you accommodate?
The maximum number of seated guests we can accommodate for is 120. For the evening, you can increase your total number of guests to 150.
How late can our band or DJ play until?
Music can be played until 12.30am – so you will have plenty of time to party!
Do you supply the caterers for my event?
We only hire out the venue – you are able to use a professional catering firm of your choice.
Do we have to pay a deposit?
Yes – on confirmation of our booking we require a £500 non-refundable deposit to secure your date.
Is there parking at The Cowshed?
Yes – there is ample parking for your event and easy access for coaches if required. Cars may be left overnight at the owners’ risk but must be collected the following morning.
When should my guests leave?
The last dance is at 12.15am with music to finish by 12.30am when the venue closes. As The Cowshed is located in a rural area, we strongly recommend pre-booking taxis for the end of the night. Leaving your guests to organise their own taxis on the night can mean a frustrating end to a great day. If you arrange for a set number of taxis to arrive towards the end of the evening, it will mean that everyone is able to leave by the time the venue closes.
Can we use hay bales as seating inside The Cowshed?
No – these pose too much of a fire risk.
Can we have Chinese lanterns?
No – these pose too much of a risk to farm animals.
Can we have Fireworks?
Do you allow confetti?
Yes we do, as long as your use natural flower confetti you are more than welcome to use this outside the venue.
Are we allowed to take photos around The Cowshed?
The taking of photographs is permitted in the grounds and is inclusive in the price but you would need to make your own arrangements regarding the hire of a photographer.
